If a company's (OÜ) taxable turnover, beginning at the beginning of the calendar year, exceeds 40,000 euros, it must register with the Tax and Customs Board as a person liable for VAT, beginning on the date the turnover in this amount is generated. However, it is also possible to register as a person liable for VAT even before the mandatory amount of 40,000 euros is exceeded.
